About Us

Studio 408 is a recording studio that brings together the very best in acoustics, electrical engineering, and analog equipment. Designed by Ricardo de Marino, our commitment is to excellence throughout every stage of audio and music production. One of our greatest differentiators is the room’s sonic perception, achieved through a highly optimized audio signal chain. From a dedicated high-performance electrical system to carefully selected hardware, every detail contributes to a full-bodied sound with punch and a wide stereo image.

Founded by brothers Pedro, André, and João Cajado, Studio 408 was created to be an intimate and welcoming space located in the financial heart of São Paulo. Rather than the commercial atmosphere of traditional studio complexes, we offer a relaxed environment designed to inspire creativity, including rehearsal facilities equipped with CDJ-2000 Nexus 2 systems.

Over the years, we have welcomed renowned artists such as Alok, Vintage Culture, and Guy Gerber. Our team also includes respected sound engineer Marcio Akimoto, among other highly experienced professionals. With this combination of talent, structure, and technology, Studio 408 delivers a wide range of services tailored to the needs of each client.

How Did Studio 408 Begin?

Studio 408 was founded by a team of professionals with extensive experience in the music industry. The Cajado brothers — Pedro, André, and João — previously built an international career through their electronic music project Audax, performing across Brazil and abroad while releasing tracks on some of Europe’s leading electronic music labels.

It was during the trio’s journey that they met and joined forces with Márcio Akimoto, who, in turn, had extensive artistic experience with the Presskit project (having performed at TOMORROWLAND in Belgium and Japan, in addition to covering a large part of the Brazilian national territory).

Marcio also accumulated six years of experience in Japan, where he distinguished himself by creating a theme for the Pokémon series. After meeting and collaborating, the four converged on the idea that they appreciated the studio process more than all the aspects involved in a career as artists. It was then that, while producing, composing, and finalizing their own music and that of other artists, they decided to form Studio 408.
